Hey, Piper, how bout tossing 'em this way? The only thing I'm reading right now is the book I'm working on. Staring at the computer screen's getting boring.

Okay, so has anyone read the Shannara books? Terry Brooks? I'm reading the Elfstones one, and to tell you the truth, am totally confused. I think I need to read the first one.

Def. read the first one Shadow. I enjoyed the Shannara series, although not as much as Tolkien.

Agreed Sirch. You start recognizing the same story patterns in the first books at least. Usually something like this:

Everything is great at home. Then in comes Allanon. Gotta leave. First we need to speak to the spirit in the lake. Then we'll go to Dwarves in Culhaven. Then we'll meet someone with the last name Creel. Then we'll find out that Darth Vader is our father...

Sooo...I got the first Shannara book...fell asleep reading it. So, I gave that back and now I'm reading a book called the Duke's Ballad by Andre Norton. It's really good, but I get lost every now and then.

Finished Vlad the Last Confession, it was awsome! I love Vlad Dracula even more now.

Now I am reading about his son D, in the forth Vampire Hunter D novel Tale of the dead Town. So far it isnt as good as the first three, its almost as if the author got lazy. Because it only has six chapters. But its D so I like it anyway

Read Midshipman's Hope.

It's a must-read. See it's thread right below.

Gah! All reading is put on hold. Have to read The Great Gatsby...again. I've read it like four times; each time, gets a little bit more depressing. Oh well. Guess I have to suck it up. The Duke's Ballad is really good though.

I got this book called Sebastian today. It's by Anne Bishop, so I thought it would be a pretty good Sci-Fi, but it looks as if it is going to be a Romance/Sci-Fi. Didn't get past the first paragraph and the word "sex" popped up like six times. (okay, being a little dramatic, but, it was in there alot...) I hope it's good though.

lol SA I'm reading the fifth VHD book right now, The Stuff of Dreams and its a hell of a lot better then the forth one because I cant guess whats going to happen and she didnt jump into the action too fast. Also reading the fifth issue in the Cantarella manga, love it because it has to do with the history of the Borgia family, spesificly Cesare and his sister Lucrezia

Okay, so I got past the first chapter in Sebastian. Turns out, it's gonna be a love novel. The characters are inccubi (demons of night) who feed off of the emotions produced by...um...well, you know. Therefore, the whole novel is based off of that. But, it's gotten good. There is a dark-evil twist; the lands are fantasy, and women make them. But there is an evil force that wants to destroy it all. So, somehow, Sebastian has to help. Haven't gotten very far besides that. Seems like a good book otherwise.
